I recently started working with a client who was looking for a portrait photographer. I was able to capture her 80s images for her in great detail. It’s always nice to work with someone who captures the essence of their own age.
I think this is one of the easiest things you can do to bring out the best in their images. All you have to do is take a close look at them (which you can do in most instances), and ask yourself how you can capture their essence in a photo (e.g. by using the same camera and settings). The more you know, the more you can get right.

There are a few classic photographers who are still around today. They are not as famous as they once were, because of time and technology, but we all know the ones who are. The oldest is Sir Edmund Hillary himself. He was in his 80s when he died, and it was as if he had lived forever.
I don’t think I’m going to lie to you. I’ve been staring at the picture for about a minute now. I don’t want to say what it says, but it’s a tribute to the 80s. I’m not a total hick, but I’ve had my eye on this picture for a long time. I’ve always wanted to do a portrait of Bill Clinton, but I’ve never been able to get to him.
It says he was born in 1930, so that means he was born in the year that the Beatles were first released. I think that is a very accurate assessment. The Beatles were a huge force in music at the time, and their first single, “Eleanor Rigby”, hit number one in the UK in 1960. They were the biggest band of their era, and the Beatles are the biggest band in the world today.
That’s pretty impressive and very fitting for a first-generation American musician. And if you think about it, the Beatles made the best music of all time. The song “Yesterday” is about a girl who finds herself in a strange bed and decides to spend the night with someone else. And the song “I Feel Fine” is about a girl who finds herself in a strange bed and decides to spend the night with someone else. And so on and so forth.
So, in hindsight, the Beatles were ahead of their time. They made music that was timeless, timeless music. They were in the 80s. They were a rock band. And for a start, they also seemed to be doing things that people from the 90s would find weird and strange. And for a start, they were wearing vintage 80s fashion. But also for a start, they didn’t really understand the internet.
As it happens, 80s fashion is a good example of when we should have been doing things that were a little “weird”. So are old school rock music. But even so, it is the 90s that are the most interesting era of the 20th century. We’re all about the 90s right now, so the 80s is definitely the one to look out for.
We think about the 90s a lot, mostly because we like to reminisce about the 80s. But we’ve always seen the 80s as a sort of a transitional era between the 70s and the 90s. It’s always been an era where it was very exciting and young people were a lot more open-minded and confident. And that was reflected in the music.
